Experienced Security Technician (Security and Access Control Installs)

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced L3 or L4 Security Technicians to support an urgent project in Columbus, Ohio. This role is ideal for senior field technicians who can work independently, demonstrate deep system knowledge, and take leadership within installation and commissioning efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, troubleshoot, and commission complex electronic security systems

Work with systems including:

Access Control

Intrusion Detection

CCTV / Video Surveillance

Integrated Security Platforms

Interpret and execute work from design drawings and project documentation

Perform advanced diagnostics and system troubleshooting

Configure head-end systems and networked security devices

Lead or assist in system commissioning and final integration

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians

Manage portions of installations or commissioning efforts as needed

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in security systems or access control installation

Strong experience with enterprise security platforms

Ability to work independently in the field

Proficiency troubleshooting networked security systems

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

Experience leading or supporting field installation teams

Hands-on experience with enterprise platforms such as, Lenel, CCURE, Hirsch Velocity

Any panel Certifications are a STRONG PLUS! (Lenel/CCURE Certification/access control panel certifications)Company Description
