Software Developer

Blu Omega is seeking a dynamic and innovative Software Developer to join our team, focusing on cutting-edge cloud-native and conversational applications. Location: Arlington, VA

Responsibilities:

Develop and enhance cloud-native applications utilizing modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.

Build and deploy AWS services including Lambda, CloudWatch, and API Gateway for scalable backend solutions.

Integrate web applications with conversational platforms like Amazon Lex.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and backend services.

Work within existing codebases to extend and improve functionalities iteratively.

Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Communicate effectively with clients and team members to gather requirements and provide technical guidance.

Utilize Git for version control and Jira for task management, sprint planning, and issue tracking. Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of full lifecycle software development experience within a Microsoft Windows environment.

At least 7 years of hands-on experience with .NET technologies, including Visual Studio, Visual Basic, and C#.

Proven experience with MS SQL, Oracle, MS Access, and Crystal Reports.

Demonstrated expertise across all stages of software development-from design and implementation to testing and deployment.

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Proficiency with web development using React and modern JavaScript, emphasizing component-based design.

Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.

Familiarity with conversational platform integration, e.g., Amazon Lex.

Strong understanding of REST API development and backend integration.

Experience with source control tools like Git and project management tools such as Jira. Nice to Have:

Experience working with serverless architectures and microservices.

Knowledge of other cloud platforms or hybrid cloud strategies.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Additional certifications such as AWS Certified Developer - Associate or Microsoft Certified Software Engineer.

Prior experience working in agile environments with direct client interactions. Salary Range: $110K-$115K

Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
