Job Title: Program Assistant- IY/Family Support
Reports To: Luzerne County Program Manager
Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours/week
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Location: Wilkes-Barre & Scranton, PA

IY Program Assistant Summary:
Member of the Outreach team responsible for administrative and direct service support for programs, including the Incredible Years (IY) parent series and other family support programs. Local travel is routinely required between Lackawanna & Luzerne Counties. Spanish speaker preferred
IY Program Assistant Duties:
Assists with delivery of the Incredible Years Program at Outreach locations in Scranton and Wilkes Barre and on Zoom, including co-facilitating classes, recruiting, program intakes/exits, childcare, phone calls, etc. Provides additional day to day support and reception duties for parent/child programs as necessary. Some evening hours are required.
Provides file documentation, case management, case notes, performs data entry into the data collection system and program-specific software, compiles data and reports, processes program-related paperwork, etc.
Prepares general correspondence, reports, training material, certificates, schedules, charts and graphs, and other printed material using Windows-based software.
Assembles materials for programs.
Assists with photocopying, ordering/purchasing, keeping inventory of supplies, and similar team operations.
Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team and independently as needed.
Acts as backup for additional family support programs.
Attends community events to represent the program/agency.
Assists in facilitating the PAST-Grandparents raising Grandchildren group monthly in Scranton location
Completes a weekly Lackawanna/Luzerne community events email for participants and program staff.
Participates in Outreach meetings, team meetings, Outreach committees, external meetings, etc., as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

IY Program Assistant Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent from a four-year college preferred; or 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the Human Services or Education fields. Spanish speaker preferred. Ability to work respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Must possess good interpersonal and group facilitation skills.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, the Internet, and Database software. Keyboarding & DE proficiency; strong computer aptitude required.
IY Program Assistant Certificates and Licenses:
Incredible Years model training is required and provided by Outreach.
PA child abuse, criminal background checks, and FBI fingerprinting required.
Valid PA Driver's License, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation are required.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands:
Frequent sitting, standing, and walking are required. Occasional lifting and/or moving materials of up to 25 pounds.
