Job Purpose: The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the timely supply of goods and services required by the organization.
This role ensures cost-effectiveness, compliance with procurement policies, and timely delivery of quality products and services.
Key Responsibilities: Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to ensure adequate stock.
Review supplier invoices and support timely payments in coordination with Finance.
Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
Ensure compliance with procurement procedures, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
Maintain accurate procurement records and generate periodic reports for management.
Collaborate with internal teams to forecast procurement needs and plan effectively.
Assist in audits and provide necessary procurement documentation when required.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
Familiarity with procurement software and Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
