As a Sage Learning & Development Technical Trainer, you will play a critical role in shaping the employee’s experience from their first day at Sage and onward. You will design, coordinate, and deliver high-impact training programs that enable employees to perform safely, confidently, and effectively in fast-paced operational environments. Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging orientation, onboarding, and ongoing training programs for new and experienced employees using adult learning principles.

Develop and execute training and onboarding plans aligned to operational priorities, staffing needs, and performance goals.

Coordinate, train, coach, and support peer subject matter expert (SME) trainers, instructors, and mentors to ensure consistent, high-quality learning delivery.

Oversee multiple Mentor’s, SME’s to schedule, deliver training for the workforce. Train, coach and upskill them in order to prepare for leadership roles such as Lead and Technical Trainer.

Audit training delivery and learning activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and organizational standards.

Maintain accurate training records, rosters, and completion data within the Paycom Learning Management System (LMS) and related tools.

Analyze training data, dashboards, and performance metrics to identify gaps, trends, and improvement opportunities.

Partner closely with operations leaders, HR, and learning stakeholders to align training with business needs and workforce readiness.

Work with the subject matter expert by quickly validating new processes, tools, and operational workflows.

Support cross-training and skill matrix development to ensure coverage for critical roles and peak operational demands.

Gather feedback from learners and stakeholders to continuously improve training content, methods, and learner engagement.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

2 years of experience delivering training, coaching, or instructional support in an operational, corporate, or learning environment.

Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills for both group and one-on-one learning.

Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and learning systems or databases.

Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Ability to work flexible schedules as required by business operations.

Ability to work with a team and adapt quickly in a team environment

Experience working with peer trainers, instructors, or ambassador programs.

Familiarity with LMS platforms, training compliance tracking, or audit processes.

Comfort interpreting training data, dashboards, and performance reports.

Strong working knowledge of ITAD

Advanced technical skills in e-learning and mobile training

Experience public speaking and comfortable working in front of an audience

Knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design fundamentals, or ADDIE methodology.

Experience supporting onboarding, safety, compliance, or operational process training.

Coaching mindset with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.

Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Confidence adapting training for diverse learners, learning styles, and experience levels.

Exposure to performance improvement models or evaluation frameworks (e.g., Kirkpatrick)
