Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday 7:00-3:00 PM The Quality Technician is a hands-on role based on the production floor, focused on inspecting composite and aircraft parts to ensure they meet safety, regulatory, and customer standards.
This position supports in-process and final inspections, utilizes measurement tools, and maintains precise documentation.
It plays a vital part in upholding quality and compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is not a desk-based engineering position-it involves active floor presence, working closely with operators and reporting to a Quality Supervisor.
The role requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with inspection processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

* Conduct in-process and final visual inspections of composite aerospace parts to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
* Identify and document nonconformances using precision measurement tools and visual inspection criteria.
* Dimensional measurements using calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc..
* Document inspection results by written reports & electronic data entry into database or SAP * Some level of analytical ability to assess and implemented quality engineering decisions * Support and engage in our AEC Quality System.
* Continuously improve job knowledge through training and individual work * Position Competencies: * Good mechanical aptitude and use of basic hand and power tools * Basic math skills * Attention to detail * Ability to understand and follow training materials, technical drawings, and work instructions.
* Proper use of safety and personal protective equipment.
* Basic computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, SAP) * Ability to communicate in English via written and spoken words * Positive outlook and commitment to the Quality function as a service to all customers and an absolute commitment to Aircraft Safety * Relevant Work Experience: Worked in a manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of QS 9000 & Aerospace AS9100 Quality Systems.
Lean Manufacturing /Six Sigma methodology a plus.
* High School diploma, GED or equivalent required * Physical demands of the job include stooping, crouching, walking, pulling, light lifting (up to 25 pounds), grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing.
* All candidates for roles that directly manufacture, or disposition product shall receive eye exams (for color-blindness) and a rudimentary English reading examination prior to receiving a job offer, and annually while employed.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering instructions.
Position Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Physical) * High School or GED Equivalent Required * 3 years equivalent experience in regulated field preferred * Experience with MS-Word, Excel, Access and Power Point for word processing and documentation support * Must be able to complete multiple prioritized tasks with minimal direct supervision while maintaining focus on preventative activities.
* SAP/MRP system experience considered a plus.
* Minimum 6 months in current role.
