Position Summary

The Springfield School District is seeking a collaborative educator to serve as a Title I Academic Interventionist / Literacy Lead Teacher. This position provides targeted reading and mathematics intervention to students needing additional academic support while also supporting building literacy efforts aligned with evidence-based practices and the Minnesota READ Act.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide small-group and individual reading and math intervention for students identified through district assessments.

Implement evidence-based reading instruction aligned with structured literacy practices.

Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on assessment data.

Collaborate with classroom teachers to support student learning and align interventions with core instruction.

Participate in MTSS and student support team meetings.

Support building literacy initiatives and assist staff in implementing effective literacy practices.

Qualifications:

Valid Minnesota teaching license as a teacher of reading, special education teacher, or a K-6th grade teacher, who has completed structured literacy professional development.

Experience teaching reading and/or mathematics.

Knowledge of evidence-based literacy and intervention strategies preferred.

Salary/Benefits: Competitive salary starting at $46,500-$59,300 depending on licensure, qualifications, experience, and educational degree advancement. Salary range is based on the collective bargaining agreement for the 2026-2027 school year.
