Job Overview

Set up and operate a variety of CNC (computer numerical control) machines in order to produce products according to the customers' specifications.

Job Requirements

Perform CNC machinery set up functions by using basic programming commands.

Fabricate products by reading and interpreting blueprints, mechanical drawings, BOM and other drawings and written material.

Prepare and load materials onto the machine.

Perform tooling changes as needed.

Work closely with the Quality department to conduct inspections during the production process to verify product meets specifications.

Maintain productivity at levels that match or exceed production standards.

Communicate with Cell Lead on all issues related to discrepancies on drawing or BOM.

Follow safety rules and use safe procedures.

Keep all tools and supplies put away in the appropriate location on a daily basis. Maintain clean and organized work areas.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What your background should look like

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Two or more years of experience setting up CNC machines, preferably Haas.

Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.

Full understanding of machining tools, drills, tap, bores, etc.

Aptitude for math, problem-solving, and computers, including working knowledge of Excel.

Mechanical aptitude.

Communicate effectively.

Ability to Read, Write and Speak in English

Proficiency with various types of equipment such as:

Air and power tools

Micrometers, calipers, rulers, tape measures and gages

Ability to work independently.

Continuous standing, moving and reaching with arms and hand.

Frequently walks, bends, lifts and carries items.

Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.

Work performed in a shop environment.

Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors.

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $25.00/Hour (Depending on Experience) (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
