Machine & Blender Operator (Powdered Polymers)

Location: Salem, NJ

Pay: $23.88 per hour

Shift: 2nd Shift Monday – Friday 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Must be flexible to work nights and weekends as needed)

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Blender Operator to join their production team. Reporting to the Blending Process Supervisor, you will be responsible for the precise blending and repackaging of powdered polymers. This is a safety-sensitive role that requires strict adherence to written procedures to ensure high product quality and zero contamination. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm. This position offers $23.88 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Blending: Perform large-scale blending and repackaging of powdered materials according to strict formulas.

Material Handling: Safely operate a forklift to move materials and maintain production flow.

Quality & Compliance: Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), including meticulous documentation, record keeping, and hygiene standards.

Safety & PPE: Comply with all regulatory requirements. Must be able to wear a respirator, lab coat, hair net, and gloves for the duration of the shift.

Maintenance: Monitor equipment performance; report malfunctions to Maintenance and assist with routine repairs.

Communication: Immediately report production or quality discrepancies to the Supervisor to ensure schedule alignment.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: High school diploma (or equivalent experience).

Skills: Strong basic math (fractions, decimals, whole numbers) and fluent English communication (read/write/speak).

Technical: Previous Forklift experience is required; basic computer skills are preferred.

Physical Demands: Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and perform repetitive bending/lifting for extended periods.

Special Requirements

Respirator Certification: Must pass a physical exam and respirator fit testing upon hire (and annually thereafter).

Certification: Must successfully complete the Blender Operator certification within the first 12 months of employment.
