PRIMARY PURPOSE: To provide essential support to the claims team and carry out various office tasks based on client programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up and enter new claims into the claims management system.
Document and review notes/diaries in the claims management system as per instructions.
Process payments accurately and efficiently.
Manage mail, filing, faxing, and photocopying tasks.
Review and prepare correspondence, reports, and forms for communication purposes.
Handle calls, schedule medical appointments, and provide customer service as needed.
Participate in additional projects as assigned, including report preparation and distribution.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
May perform other duties as assigned.
Support the organization's quality initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Licensing: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: Six months of clerical or customer service experience or a mix of education and experience required.
Skills & Knowledge:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
PC proficient, with strong skills in Microsoft Office products
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Capacity to meet or exceed performance expectations
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Physical: Proficient in computer usage, with occasional travel as necessary. Auditory/Visual: Adequate hearing, vision, and verbal communication skills.
