About the Opportunity
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced defense-side Litigation Attorney to join its Houston office.
This role involves representing institutional clients such as hospitals, healthcare providers, and employers across a range of litigation matters including health law, premises defense, and employment litigation.
Core Responsibilities
Defend hospitals, healthcare providers, employers, and other institutional clients across all phases of litigation
Manage a diverse caseload including health law, premises defense, and employment litigation matters
Develop and execute litigation strategies in collaboration with partners and clients
Draft and argue motions, take and defend depositions, and manage discovery processes
Lead case management from intake through trial preparation
Analyze complex legal and factual issues and provide clear guidance to clients
Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and potentially first-chair trial roles
Required Qualifications
7+ years of post-JD litigation experience
Experience in defense-side litigation
Background in health law, premises defense, or employment litigation
Strong courtroom and motion practice experience
Ability to manage cases independently from pleadings through trial
Texas bar admission in good standing
Work Environment

Ideal Candidate Profile
7–15 years of litigation experience post JD
Defense-side litigation background
