Your Role

As a hands-on Data Solutions Expert, you'll bring your experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or Machine Learning to take your skills further in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your passion for technology and commitment to advanced Data & AI methodologies will drive you to work collaboratively with delivery teams to devise and implement leading-edge data and AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Solutions Delivery

Develop data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and integrate solutions using GCP services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.

Help with data modeling, performance tuning, and optimize queries in BigQuery.

Implement effective data ingestion methods for both batch and streaming sources.

Assist in crafting dashboards and analytics solutions with Looker or Looker Studio.

AI & ML Development Support

Partner in the creation of ML models and AI solutions using Vertex AI, Gemini Foundation Models, and Model APIs.

Assist in developing ML pipelines and establish MLOps best practices focused on monitoring, retraining, and deployment.

Engage in prompt engineering, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) experimentation.

Contribute to the testing, validation, and documentation of models.

Requirements Gathering & Client Collaboration

Join client workshops to pinpoint data requirements, use cases, and technical specifications.

Help convert functional requirements into technical tasks and actionable implementation plans.

Regularly update project leads and client stakeholders on progress, challenges, and insights.

Governance, Quality & Security Support

Implement comprehensive metadata management, conduct data quality assessments, and maintain lineage tracking using GCP tools like Dataplex and IAM.

Follow best practices for security, identity management, and compliance standards.

Assist in strategies for data validation, testing, and monitoring processes.

Continuous Learning & Teamwork

Stay informed about GCP Data & AI best practices, engineering standards, and architectural patterns.

Work closely with senior data engineers, ML engineers, and architects.

Contribute to the development of internal tools, documentation, and reusable code components.

Keep up to date on GCP updates, Gemini model enhancements, and current engineering practices.

Travel may be required, varying from 0 to 100% based on business needs and client expectations.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of practical experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, ML Engineering, or similar fields.

A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.

2+ years in SQL, data modeling, and data pipeline construction.

At least 2 years of experience using Python or AI tools (preferably Vertex AI).

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience (minimum 12 years). If you possess an Associate's Degree, a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience is required.

Bonus Points For

Familiarity with GCP services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, and Looker.

Experience with AI/ML development and experimentation, especially using Vertex AI, Gemini models, embeddings, or RAG methodologies.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Git, or cloud-native engineering methodologies.

Holder of Google Cloud certifications (Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Data Engineer).

Background in agile delivery environments.
