CNC Lathe Operator: Montgomery, Illinois

Our customer in Montgomery, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting CNC Lathe Operators to work full-time on 2nd shift, with initial training on 1st shift for a few weeks. As a CNC Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for operating and setting up CNC lathe machines, reading blueprints, and ensuring high-quality parts are produced efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities of the CNC Lathe Operator:

Set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathe machines according to work instructions.

Read and interpret blueprints, routing documents, and setup guidelines.

Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure specifications are met.

Follow standard operating procedures and maintain a safe, organized workspace.

Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot minor machine issues.

Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and quality standards.

CNC Lathe Operator Requirements and Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of machining practices and mechanical aptitude.

Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed work instructions.

Familiarity with G and M code; Mastercam experience is a plus but not required.

Basic mathematical skills.

Must wear steel-toed shoes.

Pay for CNC Lathe Operator: $21.00/hour, depending on experience.
