IR RN in Hurricane, WV

A Registered Nurse with Interventional Radiology experience is needed for a contract assignment in Hurricane, WV. This role offers a schedule of four 10-hour weekday shifts, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities every fifth weekend. The position requires hands-on care for adult and geriatric patients, maintaining a 1:1 staffing ratio in a dynamic acute care setting.

Responsibilities:

Provide specialized nursing care in Interventional Radiology, including procedures such as angiograms, fistulograms, EVAR, TCAR, TAVR, MitraClip, and mechanical thrombectomy

Manage complex patient diagnoses including CKD, CAD, PAD, PVD, stenosis, aneurysms, and strokes

Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and ensure patient safety during procedures

Participate in on-call rotations to support patient needs during weekends

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality acute care

Complete orientation with initial classroom training followed by unit-based mentoring

Qualifications:

Minimum of two years' experience as a Registered Nurse with direct Interventional Radiology background

Active RN license and WV RDCS - Adult license ready to start the assignment

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Ability to work a 4x10 schedule and fulfill on-call weekend requirements

Candidates must have no more than 100-mile commute radius or obtain facility approval beyond 75 miles

Flu vaccination required unless medically exempt; COVID vaccination not required
