Providing expert nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology and cardiology procedures, this role demands clinical skill, adaptability, and strong collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The position focuses on delivering safe and effective care during minimally invasive procedures such as angiography, embolization, and cardiac catheterization, while acting as a patient advocate and supervising assigned personnel. Key Responsibilities:
Administer medications including anticoagulants, vasoactive agents, contrast, and emergency drugs
Maintain sterile technique and assist during procedures as circulator or scrub technologist
Monitor patients receiving moderate sedation; assess vitals, hemodynamics, and level of consciousness
Operate physiological monitoring equipment and document procedural events accurately
Support peri-procedure tasks including patient positioning, equipment setup, and timeout verification
Manage supplies and assist with room turnover and device maintenance
Recognize and promptly respond to complications such as arrhythmias, bleeding, or contrast reactions
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
Current RN license in Oregon with BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum one year of experience in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or interventional radiology settings
Conscious sedation training, monitor role experience, and clinical specialty certifications (e.g., RCIS) preferred
Ability to provide culturally sensitive care; bilingual English-Spanish skills a plus
