Stepdown Nurse (RN) in Three Rivers, MI

A clinical nursing opportunity is available on a step-down unit specializing in general medical and oncology patient care. This role involves administering chemotherapy via IV, starting IVs, and utilizing advanced equipment such as Welch Allyn Vital Sign towers, Sigma IV pumps, and EPIC for documentation. Candidates will contribute to a fast-paced environment managing a nurse-to-patient ratio ranging from 1:4 to 1:6, with support staff available to assist when patient loads increase. The unit emphasizes teamwork and quality patient outcomes in oncology step-down care.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Active Michigan RN license and current BLS certification (AHA).

ONCC or ONS oncology certification is required; pending ONS certification may be accepted.

Minimum of 2 years' experience in PCU or step-down nursing.

Proven skills in chemotherapy administration and IV therapy.

Comfortable working with electronic health records such as EPIC.

Ability to float to other medical-surgical areas including assessment units and emergency rooms.

Scheduling and Shift Details:

Night shifts, 3x 12-hour rotations (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM).

Weekend work every other weekend.

Self-scheduling available for weekdays, with weekends assigned by management.

Block scheduling requests can be accommodated-please mention specific preferences.

Immediate availably required for the first two weeks of assignment.
