Schedule: 1st shift (8:00-5:00pm) & 2nd shift (2:00-11:00pm)

**opportunity for OT & potential weekend work as needed**

Duration: 3-month contract to hire

Interview Process:2 rounds

Pay: $30.89 - $36.26

Must Haves:

3-5 years’ experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.

diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance

Industrial environment preferred

Strong customer service

Universal EPA Certification (AKA: Universal CFC or EPA 608)

Plusses :

CMMS Experience

Journeyman License

Prior experience at a large HVAC company (TRANE, Carrier, Johnson Controls, Daikin, etc.)

Day To Day:

An Insight Global client is hiring Building Maintenance Engineers for a 3-month contract to hire to ensure the reliable operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and building systems across an industrial manufacturing facility with military presence. This role focuses heavily on troubleshooting HVAC, chiller, and boiler systems, while also maintaining refrigeration, chilled water, air conditioning, plumbing, pumps, valves, piping, controls, fire/life safety systems, and electrical infrastructure including UPS, generators, switchgear, and power distribution. Collaboration with team members to improve building operations and efficiency is expected, alongside occasional overtime work. This role will be either 1st or 2nd shift.

Responsibilities:

Monitor, inspect, and adjust equipment to maintain optimal performance.

Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Respond to BMS/BAS alarms and perform root cause analysis on system issues.

Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain accurate logs and compliance documentation.

Manage work orders and vendors using Corrigo; respond to tenant service requests.

Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials and maintain a clean, compliant workspace.

Follow emergency and escalation procedures, support incident management for critical systems.

Collaborate with the team to enhance building efficiency and operations.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
