1st shift Mon - Thu 4:30am - 3pm
Pay range: $21 - 29.16
Plus 8% job premium
Plus $750 sign n bonus

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Production, Batching, and Receiving Supervisor, perform batching for silica and non-silica production and other projects as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform all batching functions: hand adds, bulk batching and weigh ups.
Must be able to read batch functions: hand adds, bulk batching and weigh ups.
Must be able to work accurately and independently.
Work in other production areas as required, because of absenteeism, tardiness, schedules or other needs.
Crush and weigh boric acid and/or boron oxide for any batches that it is required.
Keep batching, boric acid crushing, and raw materials area clean and orderly.
Put pallets in proper outside storage locations.
Always operate forklift safely.
Operate both bulk batching systems in a safe and productive manner daily.
Be responsible for all re-blend, partial drums or bags being put on batches before being moved.

Qualifications
Must be physically and mentally fit for duty.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Dependable and able to maintain the attendance required to perform the job.
Ability to read, write, understand basic mathematics, comprehend and fully understand: SOPs, SDSs, labeling, safety and health regulations, and procedures within the job, this job group and the plant.
Ability to operate computerized equipment, read scales, use RF Scanning devices, recognize product problems, malfunctions and patterns out of specification.
Ability to perform general quality and quantity of work.
Must have the ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently and pass required testing to operate a forklift.
Working Environment
The job is in a dusty environment.
Working in a hot and/or cold environment.
Required to wear respirator, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes.
Physical Requirements
Must be willing and physically able to lift 55lbs bags and complete the physical requirements of a Material Handler.
The job requires a to work lifting, pulling, pushing, turning, stacking and carrying 55 pounds of unstable bags, drums, cartons, and pails consistently and frequently, therefore the candidate must be fit for duty.
Prolonged periods working on feet and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
Must be able to qualify for and wear a respirator.
