Material Handler Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are recruiting a Material Handler Forklift Operator to join our team! Your position will focus on safe and efficient movement of products and materials.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials throughout the warehouse

Pick, pack, and stage customer orders accurately according to shipping documentation

Load and unload trucks using forklifts or manual equipment

Prepare pallets and shipments for outbound freight carriers

Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies

Stage outbound shipments for pickup by freight carriers

Ensure orders are properly packaged and labeled according to shipping requirements

Follow all warehouse safety procedures and OSHA guidelines

Properly handle materials according to safety data sheets (SDS) and company policies

Maintain clean and organized work areas to prevent hazards

Use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

2+ years of Warehouse experience

Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.

Forklift Certification

Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Basic Math, Reading, and Comprehension skills

Willingness to Learn

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in industrial, chemical, or logistics warehouses

Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Hazmat Certification

OSHA certificationCompany Description
