Job Overview

We are actively seeking dedicated Warehouse Associates to join our dynamic team in Ottawa, KS This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to efficient warehouse operations, ensuring the accurate handling, storage, and distribution of goods. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a vital part in maintaining inventory accuracy, operating heavy equipment, and supporting overall warehouse management. Schedule:

Daylight: Monday - Thursday 5:30 am - 3:30 pm

Evening: Monday - Thursday 4:30 pm - 2:30 am

Weekend Day: Friday - Sunday 5 am - 5 pm

Weekend Evening: Friday, Sunday 5 pm - 5 am / Saturday 5 pm - 3 am

Responsibilities

Perform inventory management tasks including stock counting, replenishment, and cycle counts using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.

Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks safely to load, unload, and transport materials.

Assist with shipping and receiving processes by accurately picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment.

Support order fulfillment activities through order picking using pickers and other tools to ensure timely delivery.

Handle materials with proper techniques for heavy lifting and mechanical handling to maintain safety standards in accordance with OSHA regulations.

Maintain organized warehouse distribution areas by stocking supplies efficiently and ensuring proper storage practices.

Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve inventory control processes.

Use AS400 or similar warehouse management systems for data entry, tracking shipments, and inventory updates.

Support manufacturing or construction-related activities as needed by operating heavy equipment or assisting with materials handling.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all operations to promote a safe working environment.

Skills

Proven experience in warehouse distribution, inventory control, or related roles within a warehouse setting.

Proficiency in operating reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment.

Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems such as AS400 or equivalent platforms.

Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation.

Experience with shipping & receiving procedures including order picking & packing.

Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during stock stocking and order fulfillment.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors.

Basic understanding of manufacturing or construction environments is a plus.
