Title: Implementation Management (Construction Manager)
Location: Columbus, OH market
Duration: 12 to 18 months contract on W2
Pay Rate: $50.00/hr to $55.00/hr
Role Overview:
The Field Performance Advisor (FPA) is responsible for optimizing supplier performance and ensuring continuous improvement through regular site visits. The FPA works directly with suppliers to resolve discrepancies, enhance crew effectiveness, and improve tool utilization, quality, and safety standards.
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Experience &Qualifications:
Minimum of 7+ years of relevant work experience in construction, supplier management, or a related field.
Proven experience in managing general contractor suppliers and directing construction processes.
Technical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of general construction processes, procedures, and tools (Civils, Ground, L&A, Backhaul, etc.).
Familiarity with construction and quality standards, particularly in the telecommunications industry.
Experience with Client’s equipment portfolio is a plus.
Certifications:
Completion of the OSHA 30-hour course for telecommunications industry is required.
Skills:
Ability to interface with customers, property owners, and internal/external teams effectively.
Strong understanding of contracts (leasing, vendor-facing, customer-facing) and financial acumen.
Experience leading or influencing teams to perform at their best.
Knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations impacting construction operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Monitoring & Analysis:
Review and analyze key site performance metrics (cycle time, COP first-time right, JHA compliance, tool utilization, build quality, etc.).
Identify areas of improvement in supplier performance and provide actionable feedback to suppliers and the Territory Director.
Supplier Engagement & Support:
Conduct on-site visits to perform root-cause analysis on performance deficiencies.
Troubleshoot issues related to safety, construction, and process compliance in real time.
Partner with suppliers to correct discrepancies and improve operational processes.
Process Improvement & Strategy:
Develop and implement process improvements for suppliers’ site construction and tool utilization.
Collaborate with the Client’s Automation and Operational Excellence teams to enhance current tools and create new solutions.
Work with other FPAs to identify and address systemic issues across sites and markets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as an internal partner to client’s Senior Construction Managers and Project Management teams to support site access, customer meetings, and construction validation.
Coordinate with internal teams to evaluate market-level on-site requests and provide relevant support for project completion.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with market suppliers to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Share Client’s and customer process, methods, and tool updates to ensure alignment with supplier operations.
Training & Governance:
Ensure suppliers adhere to Client’s quality, safety, and process standards.
Provide feedback on training programs, tools, and documentation to improve delivery performance.
Support governance processes for quarterly Supplier Business Reviews (QBR), including reporting on field performance, actions taken, and recommended improvements.
Data Reporting & Metrics:
Collect and report supplier performance data to support new process trials and business cases.
Utilize performance metrics to evaluate supplier performance and suggest corrective actions.
