Job Title: DrafterJob Description We are seeking a Designer/Drafter to join our team and contribute to a consulting engineering firm that specializes in engineering and construction management services for the bulk material handling industry.
Responsibilities + Responsible for 2D mechanical design within industrial plants to integrate new material handling systems, ensuring these systems are seamlessly integrated into both existing and new structures.
+ Facilitate communication with vendors, manage equipment purchases, and coordinate with contractors.
+ Occasionally conduct field visits to observe construction progress (1-2 times per year). + Support customer-facing communications to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
Essential Skills + Proficiency in AutoCAD for design and drafting tasks.
+ Experience in industrial design, particularly with large industrial systems, conveyor systems, and material handling systems.
+ Familiarity with MicroStation is preferred but not required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field is preferred, though a minimum of a High School Diploma with relevant experience is acceptable.
+ 1-5 years of experience in drafting/designing.
Work Environment This position is primarily on-site with the potential to adopt a hybrid work schedule a couple of days a week after full training.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30/8:00 AM to 4:00/4:30 PM, with flexible start times once fully trained.
The office environment is small and family-like, with all departments collaborating across a range of age groups.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Powell, OH.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.25/hr.
