Position Charter
This position will be responsible for translating business requirements into functional solutions, evaluate and improving existing applications, and be proficient in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, including testing, debugging, and documentation. desires to engage a candidate for an opportunity to develop, enhance, and support IT and business applications. This position is classified as full-time and exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Reporting Relationships
This position would report to the Applications Development Manager.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Learn and support Mass 500, Salesforce, Informatica, and new ERP once it is selected.
Learn and support ROC Commerce CMS and API Integrations.
Interact with the business to understand requirements and how they translate into application features
Leverage AI tools and platforms to streamline development tasks, improve code quality, assist with data analysis, and identify opportunities to automate or enhance business processes.
Evaluate the current application environment and help to architect better solutions
Collaborate with the business and IT to set specifications for upgrading/modifying current applications
Leverage and roadmap new capabilities through SAAS/Cloud applications
Configuration and integration of SAAS/Cloud applications with legacy systems
Perform unit, integration, and User Acceptance Testing before launch
Conduct both functional and non-functional testing
Troubleshoot and debug applications
Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update or add new features
Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately describe created/modified code
Education
BS/BA in computer science / relevant field
Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience in designing, building, and modifying applications
Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles
Knowledge of programming using Visual Studio
Knowledge of Source Control technologies such as GIT and TFS
Proficient with DevOps platforms, with experience building pipelines, workflows, and automation to support modern development practices.
Ability to program in C# programming language as well as managing / migrating VB6 code
Salesforce, IQVIA, and IFS Technical configuration knowledge a plus
Administering a CMS Platform as well as font end development technologies like Java Script/HTML5 a plus.
Ability to leverage AI tools to automate tasks, streamline workflows, and support data driven decision making
Experience with webservices (JSON / REST / XML)
Experience with writing for cloud services, especially Azure
Experience with SQL Server and PL/SQL database troubleshooting / modification / design
Experience with creating/modifying Crystal Reports
A team player with excellent communication skills
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Great attention to detail and time-management skills
Excellent understanding of Information Technology
Excellent understanding of hardware and software
Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 applications, SharePoint, Teams
