We're looking for an Observability Engineer to build and maintain dashboards and data sets that improve visibility into restaurant systems. You'll analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with teams to keep systems stable and efficient.

POS experience About the Role
We're looking for an Observability Engineer to enhance visibility into restaurant systems by building dashboards, integrating telemetry pipelines, and enabling proactive detection of issues. You'll work across teams to maintain system stability, ensure reliable data flows, and support production operations.
What You'll Do
Build and enhance dashboards based on business needs.
Monitor and maintain system stability across environments.
Analyze logs, traces, and metrics; resolve production issues.
Implement and manage OpenTelemetry pipelines (collectors, receivers, processors, exporters).
Provide oncall support on a rotating basis.
Manage IT projects, documentation, and process improvements.
Handle ticket queues and coordinate tasks with crossfunctional teams.
Implement changes with proper testing, validation, and planning.
Ensure compliance with IT and security policies.
Stay current on observability and costoptimization technologies.
Use observability tools for proactive alerting, insight generation, and service health monitoring.
Design new data visibility solutions based on business requirements. What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree preferred.
3-5 years of relevant experience.
Experience with Splunk, Datadog, Grafana.
Handson OpenTelemetry instrumentation or collector experience (logs, metrics, and/or traces).
Python scripting skills.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and SQL.
Restaurant POS experience (preferred).
