Position Overview
S-CMI, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control (CQC) Manager for a federal construction project located at Point Miguel, CA. The CQC Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing the projects Quality Control Program to ensure all work complies with contract specifications, applicable codes, and federal construction standards.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and manage the project Quality Control Plan in accordance with contract requirements.
Perform three-phase control inspections (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up).
Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and federal standards.
Coordinate inspections with government representatives and project stakeholders.
Review and track submittals, RFIs, and quality documentation.
Conduct and document daily quality control inspections.
Maintain the Quality Control Report (QCR) and project documentation.
Coordinate with the Superintendent and Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO).
Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Attend and participate in project meetings with the government and subcontractors.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of construction quality control experience.
Experience working on federal or government construction projects.
CQC Certification or documented experience as a CQC Manager on federal projects.
Ability to understand and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction documentation systems.
Preferred Qualifications
USACE CQM Certification for Contractors
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification
Experience with EM 385-1-1 safety standards
Additional certifications related to quality control or construction management.
