School-Age Assistant Teacher

Job Description

Pocono Services for Families and Children is looking for two School Age Assistant Teachers for our Ramsey Center in Stroudsburg, PA who are passionate about teaching and fostering children's curiosity in our school age classrooms (ages 5-12yrs). Our classroom staff support children with hands-on activities to support academic and social-emotional skills.

Work of the school age team involves leadership and instructional responsibilities to youth with efforts to meet their goals in educational and social development through games, sports, crafts, and other programs and activities. Duties include monitoring virtual work, implementing activities, providing instructions, facilitating, planning group projects, and other duties as assigned in a safe, efficient and productive manner. Actively engaging youths in positive character building is critical.

Required: High School Diploma and at least 2 years of experience working with school-age children.

This position would work a 10:00am-6:00pm shift Monday-Friday. Compensation is based on education and experience and benefits are offered after successful completion of a 60-day provisional period.
