Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PLM/Applications Engineer to manage and support our Product Development software suite. In this role, you will act as the escalation point for after-hours support, manage complex 3DExperience deployments, and work closely with both Application and Development teams to execute our technical roadmap. You will ensure that our engineering teams have the tools, configurations, and support they need to design and manufacture world-class products.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary escalation point for on-call and after-hours support for the Product Development Suite of Tools.
Manage and document network server configurations, application licensing agreements, and third-party software installations.
Ensure backup systems, processes, and procedures are in place and actively monitored for all Product Development Software.
Document repair/maintenance and change requests through the IS department ticketing system (ServiceNow or JIRA preferred).
Work closely with the Application team and Development team to drive the tactical implementation of the technical roadmap for Product Development tools.
Understand, plan, and execute technical activities in accordance with company policies, procedures, and specific Customer requirements.
Originate and/or revise process documents in support of PLM and development activities.
Build prototype and test systems for demonstrations and testing purposes.
Provide business application support for workflows and methods.
Implement tools and processes associated with CAD-driven Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) structure development to support engineering, manufacturing, and sustainment.
Participate in vision strategy sessions to drive digital transformation projects over months and years, distilling high-level inputs into actionable technical plans.
Basic Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or similar).
Note: Higher education may substitute for relevant experience, and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
PLM Expertise: Extensive experience with 3DExperience On-Premise Deployment in a Cloud Hosted environment.
Help Desk Tools: Experience with business application support workflows and methods; ServiceNow or JIRA Help Desk experience preferred.
Technical Breadth: Experience with Engineering Tool Administration practices, licensing, and server configurations.
Desired / Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience Level: 10+ years implementing tools and processes associated with CAD-Driven Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) in support of engineering and manufacturing.
Development Skills: Experience in developing applications in iOS, Microsoft, Linux, JavaScript, Angular.js, or webRTC.
Digital Transformation: Proven track record of driving digital transformation/implementation projects over months and years, from vision strategy sessions to technical execution.
Full-time
