Job Description
Responsible for performing the physical or combined administrative/physical tasks involved in the shipping and receiving of material, counting and picking of materials for Customer and Production orders.
Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and correctly process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements.
Sustain a high level of quality to ensure customers receive correct product and in the time requested.
Verify the quality, type and amount of materials received are correct and that the appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packing list).
Handle delicate items with a very high attention to detail, to ensure flawless, on time shipments to the end user.
Unpack, label, and put inventory items into stock locations.
Package items for customer shipments and internal manufacturing lines.
Print postage, and ship through FedEx and UPS.
Scheduling Freight shipments
Perform shipping/receiving/finished goods transactions in MS NAV (ERP)
Perform weekly cycle counts and other inventory control initiatives.
Monitor shipping and receiving dock.
Develops positive relationships with internal departments, external customers, and suppliers.
Assures compliance with customs, export, applicable foreign trade/importation laws, as well as applicable federal transport regulations.
Reports directly to the Logistics and Warehouse Manager
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Proven ability to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures, instructions, and to meet schedules required.
Good computer skills to navigate ERP systems, Outlook and shipping software in order to support the operation in its daily functions.
Detail oriented, passion for accuracy and sense of urgency.
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs
