Job Summary:
The therapist position at Robin Recovery, provides clinical support to individuals recovering from chemical dependencies. Their primary role is to guide clients through the psychological and behavioral aspects of recovery while coordinating with a multidisciplinary medical team.
Core Responsibilities
Clinical Assessments: Evaluate client’s mental and physical health, the severity of their addiction, and their readiness for treatment.
Treatment Planning: Develop and regularly update personalized recovery plans that outline specific goals, strategies, and therapeutic interventions.
Individual & Group Therapy: Facilitate one-on-one sessions to explore underlying causes of addiction and lead group discussions to provide peer support.
Crisis Intervention: Manage emergency situations where a client may be a danger to themselves or others.
Family Education: Counsel family members on the disease of addiction and teach them supportive strategies for the patient’s recovery.
Discharge & Aftercare: Plan the client’s transition out of the facility, including referrals to support groups (like AA/NA) or employment services.
Documentation: Maintain detailed, confidential clinical records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and provide progress reports to courts or parole officers if required. Required Qualifications
Education: High School Degree or Equivalent
CDCA, QMHS, LSW, LCDC, LPC or equivalent
Skills:
Proficiency in evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
