We need an AI Developer for a full-time position.

Position: AI Developer

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid - 1-2 days onsite)

Position Type: Full time-Hybrid

Job Description :

Responsibilities:

Design and implement LLM-powered applications utilizing Azure OpenAI.

Develop and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.

Create agent-based and tool-using AI architectures.

Engineer NLP pipelines for classification, summarization, and information extraction tasks.

Build secure, containerized APIs using FastAPI and Docker.

Deploy applications to Azure, including AKS or Azure Container Apps.

Establish CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps.

Enhance latency, observability, and optimize token costs.

Mentor fellow developers and contribute to architectural standards.

Required Experience :

At least 8 years of software development experience.

Minimum of 3 years building AI/ML systems.

Experience developing and delivering modern web applications using JavaScript frameworks such as React and server-side technologies like Node.js.

Proficient in Python development.

Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI.

Experience constructing RAG architectures.

Integration of vector databases such as Azure AI Search or FAISS.

Deploying containerized applications on Azure platforms.

Building production APIs, preferably using FastAPI.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Semantic Kernel or LangChain.

Background in designing agent-based AI systems.

Experience in federal or regulated environments.

Familiarity with full-stack development patterns involving React (frontend) and Node.js (backend).

Ability to provide code review or technical guidance on React/Node.js components as part of cross-functional projects.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Has successfully transitioned AI solutions from proof-of-concept to production environments.

Understands the limitations of LLMs and effective mitigation strategies.

Approaches system architecture with scalability in mind, beyond prompt engineering.

Capable of working independently and providing technical leadership.
