IR Tech in Silver Spring, MD

A healthcare facility in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a skilled Imaging - IR Tech for a contract position. This role requires expertise in interventional radiology imaging techniques to support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Schedule and Hours:

Four 10-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

On-call availability required, with a minimum of 7-9 days per month on call

Responsibilities:

Perform complex imaging procedures related to interventional radiology with precision and attention to patient safety

Collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care

Prepare and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring functionality and compliance with safety standards

Monitor patients during procedures and respond effectively to any changes in condition

Document procedures accurately and maintain thorough records for clinical and regulatory purposes

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Certified Radiologic Technologist with specialized training or experience in interventional radiology

Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting IR imaging equipment

Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and patient care measures

Ability to work independently during on-call periods and maintain professional communication

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
