Instructional Aide - Washington, PA

A school district in Washington, PA is seeking two full-time paraprofessionals to support students for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. These positions are contract-based opportunities with potential extensions into Extended School Year (ESY) and Next School Year (NSY) programs, covering leave of absences for permanent staff.

There are openings at both the high school and elementary levels with specific schedules:

High School: 7:15 AM to 2:45 PM

Elementary School: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Successful candidates will be flexible paraeducators, capable of supporting students in general and lifeskills classrooms. Key responsibilities include assisting teachers in delivering individualized instruction, providing direct support to students with special needs, and fostering a positive, supportive learning environment.

Qualifications and desired experience:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional or paraeducator preferred

Ability to support students with diverse learning needs, including those in lifeskills programs

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Patience, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset
