Job Summary

Seeking a Laboratory Automation Developer to provide onsite support at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The selected candidate will develop and maintain software solutions that automate laboratory workflows, instrument control, and data acquisition in a federal research environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop Python-based laboratory automation tools; integrate laboratory instruments and systems for automated data collection; support scientific workflows and data processing; collaborate with researchers and engineers; document and maintain automation solutions in compliance with federal standards.

Required Experience

5+ years of software development experience with a focus on laboratory or scientific automation; strong Python skills; experience working with laboratory instrumentation or data acquisition systems; ability to work onsite in a federal laboratory environment.
