Description Job Title: Core Java/ Angular Developer Duration: 18 months W2 Contract Location: Jersey City, NJ Required Pay Scale: $60-$68/hour Java Developer with Angular 16+ & some AI exp Full stack java (80/20 backend to frontend) Must Haves * Core Java, Spring boot, micro services * Some AI/LLM skills - our candidate who interviewed had the skills they need but was python focused; on his resume: Microservices,AI Agent Integration, Agentic Workflows (LangChain, LangGraph), LLM Automation, LangChain-style orchestration * Some Angular skills - they are using version 20 so v16+ will work * Role is 80/20 backend to frontend Nice to Have * Python * Financial domain knowledge The Java/Angular Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing an enterprise-grade AI chatbot capable of supporting business functions across GM Finance Controls and FPA Tech.

The role includes building conversational AI workflows, integrating the chatbot with internal systems and data sources, implementing governance/compliance controls, and ensuring high reliability in production.

This position requires strong engineering expertise, hands-on experience with modern AI/ML frameworks, and the ability to collaborate across technology and business teams.

Required Skills 5-8+ years of experience in software engineering with strong proficiency in Python, Java, or .NET Hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML applications, especially LLM-based chatbots Expertise with at least one AI framework: OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, Rasa, or similar Strong understanding of vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Milvus, or Azure AI Search) Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and enterprise services Familiarity with prompt engineering, grounding, RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), and model evaluation Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and containerized deployment (Docker/Kubernetes) Solid understanding of data security, access controls, and compliance requirements in enterprise environments Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions Desired Skills Experience with Generative AI orchestration frameworks Prior experience integrating chatbots with ServiceNow, SharePoint, databases, or line-of-business apps Knowledge of MLOps pipelines, model monitoring, and versioning Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) Background in NLP, semantic search, embeddings, or conversational design Experience working in a financial services or highly regulated environment About Matlen Silver Experience Matters.
