CVOR Tech in Milton, FL

This contract opportunity is for an experienced CVOR Tech first assist located in Milton, FL, supporting complex heart and vascular surgical procedures. The role focuses on providing expert intraoperative assistance within a highly specialized cardiovascular operating room environment.

Responsibilities:

Scrub and assist during open heart, lung, and vascular surgeries, maintaining sterile technique and surgical field integrity

Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and OR staff to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes

Utilize standard OR equipment, adapting smoothly to advanced technologies as needed

Float to Main OR when vascular or heart cases are not scheduled

Maintain thorough, accurate documentation using Meditech electronic systems

Adhere to unit policies and procedures, including wearing hospital-provided scrubs

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Proven experience as CVOR Tech or first assist in heart and vascular surgical cases

Ability to scrub open heart procedures is essential; skills in endovascular cases are a plus

Comfortable with a fast-paced OR setting and flexible to float between vascular and main OR suites

Strong communication skills and professionalism to contribute positively to patient experience and team dynamics

No additional certifications required beyond standard OR credentials

Schedule:

Shift hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (5-hour shift options may be available, with some 10-hour shifts)

On-call availability required weekdays and weekends
