Bulk Terminal Operator

Guaranteed 40 hours, competitive pay, teamwork oriented

Opportunity to join a SAFETY and TEAMWORK focused bulk terminal operation in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Operator will learn all aspects of terminal operations and play a vital role in operating a clean, efficient and customer friendly terminal.

The primary operations of the terminal include receiving, unloading and loading Portland cement from railcars, bulk trucks and silos. Company also places an emphasis on equipment maintenance and general housekeeping to maintain a first-class terminal.

Primary Operator Duties: All must be performed in a safety conscious manner.

· Comply with company safety policies and standard operating procedures

· Receive and unload railcars, transfer product to silos and load outbound customer trucks

· Safely work an active railroad spur

· Work in both confined and elevated areas up to 90’

· Basic office and clerical duties

· General housekeeping, lawn maintenance and other duties to keep entire facility clean and safe

· Forklift operations

· Equipment maintenance

· Some flexibility in schedule and willingness to work occasional Saturdays

· 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Preferred Skills

· Experience in terminal operations

· Mechanical skills

· Basic welding and cutting skills

· Basic computer skills

· Ability to read and write

· Friendly, customer service oriented

· Ability to work with a small team and occasionally have flexible hours

· Must pass drug test
