Programmer 4

Job Summary:

The Programmer 4 will support the modernization of a legacy application from Perl/MySQL to Java/React/MariaDB on an AWS platform. This is a full-time, onsite position requiring experience in full-stack development, application testing, and legacy modernization projects.

Responsibilities:

- Designing and developing software using Java and React.

- Writing clean, efficient code to build new applications or features.

- Conducting unit tests, integration tests, and system tests.

- Participating in code reviews and collaborating with QA teams.

- Writing clear documentation for code, APIs, and system structure.

- Packaging and deploying modules to testing or production environments.

- Monitoring applications after release and providing support.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- 2 years of prior programming experience in Java web applications using Spring Boot.

- 2 years of frontend development experience using React or similar technology.

- 2 years of application modernization on an AWS or Azure platform.

- 2 years of knowledge of using AI to facilitate application development and testing.

- 2 years of Agile development methodology.

- Java, React full stack development.

- MySQL, MariaDB.

- Application testing processes.

- API's and web services.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Construction Management subject matter expertise.

- School facilities programs experience.

- Knowledge of Perl Programming Language.

- AWS Government Cloud deployment (Terraform).

- Knowledge of the existing CMW application.

Special Considerations:

- Onsite position at 30 W Spring St. 4th Floor, Columbus, OH.

- Selected candidate will be required to have a BCI Fingerprint check performed.

- Government equipment cannot be taken or used outside of the United States.
