***This is a Contract to Hire role. Should the site want to convert the contractor, the offer is contingent upon passing a Work Key evaluation (literacy levels and comprehension).

Start Details

Site will require 24 hours to coordinate start.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to ensure the site can get you checked in and to the designated location.

Upon arriving at the site, if the gate is closed, you will need to press the call button in order for the gate to be opened.

Please park in the visitor parking, enter the building through the main door and complete the sign in process.

Business partners are expected to maintain an appearance that is appropriate, neat and clean, as determined by the requirements of the work area. Dress and appearance should not be offensive to customers or other business partners. Please adhere to the following, in particular when in a manufacturing area:

No shorts, halter tops, or cut-off T-shirts

No open toe/heel shoes or high heels in plant

No extremely loose clothing

No dangling jewelry

Job Description

The Packaging Operator I role is the entry level role at the Mt. Vernon facility. This role is responsible for

packaging, cleaning, and relieving for breaks. This role will primarily work in the production area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Spotting out-bound trucks into material load docks, ensuring dock-locks

Reclaiming off-quality Unbonded Loosefill and refeeding the material to the forehearth

Packaging operator placing bags on bagger equipment snouts ensuring proper packaging of finished goods

material

Performs general cleanup duties in designated areas (including, but not limited to, sweeping floor, blowing

down the line/robot, cleaning break rooms, etc.).

Assist with Preventative Maintenance processes

Perform special needs as determined by plant staff

Participates in safety and housekeeping programs as established within the plant.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

1 - 3 years manufacturing experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Must be able to read, write, and speak English

Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions

Must possess strong communication and organizational skills

Must have the ability to multi-task

Must have strong internal and external customer service skills

Must work well in team environment

Must be able to work independently

Must have to ability to do intermediate mathematical calculations
