Part-Time Warehouse Forklift Operator

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Material Handler and Forklift Operator to assist with the loading of finished products onto semi-trailers using a propane sit-down forklift, an on-board PC, and an RF bar coding system at our facility in Sussex.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Adhere to all standard operating and safety procedures.

Conduct post-skidding operations, including strapping, banding, wrapping, boxing, baling, weighing, and compressing products.

Safely operate a powered industrial truck to transport products to various departments.

Complete all material logs and production record paperwork as needed.

Perform cleanup and waste removal tasks to maintain a clean working environment.

Coordinate product trucking with shipping for effective staging.

Uphold all company and OSHA safety regulations and encourage safe work habits among peers.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and other operators regarding shift expectations.

Assist in other departments as required.

Complete additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

A minimum of 2 years of experience loading trucks.

Extensive forklift experience, spending at least 75% of the workday operating a forklift.

Strong computer proficiency.

Preferred experience in manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, or related fields.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong mechanical aptitude.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to read and follow both written and verbal instructions.

Good math skills.

Capability for repetitive hand/wrist movements.

Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

A team player in a fast-paced, detail-oriented production environment.

Independence in following instructions.
