Provide psychological services within a large, diverse school district in Middletown, DE, serving students across preschool, elementary, middle, high school, and specialized educational settings. This full-time contract opportunity runs ASAP through June 10th and offers a collaborative environment with a strong continuum of special education services, including medically fragile and alternate achievement programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments, with an emphasis on testing-heavy assignments at the elementary level.
Collaborate closely with special education coordinators and multidisciplinary teams to support student needs from preschool through high school.
Participate in professional development days, which are compensated as part of the contract.
Provide psychological services primarily at one site, with occasional split assignments to support multiple elementary schools.
Assist in developing eligibility reports, intervention plans, and consultation with educators and families.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid school psychologist certification; licensure transfer assistance provided, including support for candidates with a pending license application.
Experience working within diverse educational settings, including special education designations up to intensive "D setting" services.
Ability to manage varying caseloads and perform comprehensive assessments efficiently.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork across multiple school levels.

Position based primarily at one location in Middletown, DE.
High school team consists of four psychologists; elementary level has approximately 1 to 1.5 psychologists.
Reports to the Special Education Coordinator and works alongside district leadership.
