Asama Coldwater Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Casting Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations within our foundry environment.

This role is responsible for ensuring maximum equipment uptime across induction furnaces, molding machines, cranes, sand systems, pollution control equipment, conveyors, and automated production lines.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience, technical expertise in industrial maintenance, and a data-driven approach to reliability and continuous improvement.What You’ll DoMaintenance & Reliability LeadershipDevelop and lead a comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance program (TPM)Reduce emergency breakdowns and increase equipment lifespanOversee troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systemsTrack and improve OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and PM compliance metricsTeam ManagementSupervise and mentor maintenance technicians and contractorsAssign work based on priority, equipment criticality, and technician skill levelFoster a safety-first, high-performance cultureSupport root-cause problem solving and rapid response initiativesEquipment & Facility OversightMaintain foundry equipment including:Induction furnacesMolding systems (GF and DISA lines)Sand systems and coolersOverhead cranesConveyors (belt and vibratory)Finishing equipmentPollution control systemsLead capital improvement and CAPEX projectsSupport installation of new equipment and facility upgradesCompliance & QualityEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulationsMaintain IATF 16949 standards for automotive certificationConduct safety audits and monitor high-risk work areasCoordinate with quality teams to resolve production and reliability issuesBudget & Inventory ControlManage maintenance budget and control departmental costsMaintain critical spare parts inventory to prevent long lead-time failuresCoordinate with vendors regarding parts, equipment, and service needsData & Systems ManagementUtilize CMMS systems to track KPIs and maintenance historyAnalyze failure trends and implement corrective actionsDevelop electronic maintenance tracking systems EducationBachelor’s Degree (Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred)Equivalent experience consideredExperience3–7 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance leadership experienceExperience in foundry or heavy manufacturing environment preferredStrong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systemsSkillsProven team leadership and supervisory experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency with CMMS systems and Microsoft OfficeAbility to interpret technical documentation and production data Work EnvironmentFoundry environment with exposure to high heat, dust, and noiseWork near heavy machinery and moving equipmentPPE requiredFlexible schedule required to support off-shift or emergency repairsWhy Join Asama Coldwater Manufacturing?Leadership-level role with operational impactAutomotive-certified manufacturing environmentOpportunity to drive reliability strategy and capital improvementsDirect influence on equipment performance and plant productivity
