Nurse Practitioner for Veteran Compensation and Pension Exams

Job Summary:

We are seeking a certified and licensed nurse practitioner to join our team part-time and conduct compensation and pension exams for veterans in our clinic. As an NP, you will be responsible for conducting an evaluation for each veteran, including, but not limited to a clinical interview and review of medical records. You will then report findings via a Disability Benefit Questionnaire. Face to Face (on site): 5 days/week out of M-F, Clinic Hours- 8am-5pm with an hour break available.

Conduct comprehensive general medical evaluations for veterans

Review medical records and interview veterans to assess health conditions and related impairments

Compete DBQs and Independent Medical Records as instructed

Qualifications:

MSN degree from an accredited university

Active and unrestricted license to practice in the state of South Dakota

Experience conducting veteran compensation and pension exams is preferred

Excellent clinical and assessment skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
