Job Title: Maintenance Technician up to $39/hr

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our team across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. The role involves both reactive and preventative maintenance functions, with responsibilities including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues within the plant. Technicians will utilize basic hand tools as well as specialty tools provided by the company.

Responsibilities

Perform both reactive and preventative maintenance functions.

Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using basic hand tools and specialized equipment.

Utilize electrical and mechanical schematics to identify and resolve issues.

Conduct repairs on plant equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.

Maintain conveyor systems, hydraulic lifts, and grinders.

Work with PLCs to manage inputs and outputs.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.

Essential Skills

Strong electrical troubleshooting abilities.

Experience with PLCs.

Capability to manage inputs and outputs.

Knowledge of 480 V 3-phase electrical systems.

Ability to read and interpret schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems.

Experience as a diesel mechanic.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean food manufacturing facility with the presence of both raw and cooked meat odors. The facility operates on three shifts, with schedules as follows: First Shift from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm, Second Shift from 4:00 pm to 2:30 am, and Third Shift from 11:00 pm to 9:00 am. Employees work Monday through Friday and every other weekend, with a typical work week averaging 60 hours due to staffing needs. Dress code includes non-slip shoes, jeans, and appropriate work attire.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
