Laser Operator - 2nd shift

LASER OPERATOR

2ND SHIFT - 1:30 PM - 10:30 PM

$20.00 PER HOUR

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the setup and operation of a CNC laser to cut parts from various sizes of steel sheets; loads steel into machine, cycles machine, detects malfunctions in machine operations, maintains quality and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

•Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers and use simple math to perform basic calculations.

•Must be able to set-up, align the laser and select proper cutting programs.

•Perform necessary troubleshooting, maintenance and preventative maintenance of the laser per company procedures.

•Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.

•Must be able to visually and dimensional inspect produced parts.

•Must be able to change material on work table.

•Update computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements.

•Maintain work area in clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.

•Ability to work with chemicals, solvents, and lubricants.

•Must have a working command of the English language, and be able to communicate orally and in writing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•Ability to perform essential duties

•High School graduate or equivalent

•Internal Transfer - minimum of six (6) months Turret experience

•External Hire – minimum of 2-3 years CNC laser experience
