A school district in Westerville, OH is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve as an Intervention Specialist for grades K-1 for the remainder of the current semester. Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and small-group instruction tailored to students with Autism and other special needs
Collaborate with two assigned paraprofessionals to implement educational plans and classroom management
Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for caseload students
Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and administration to support student progress
Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions designed for K-1 students with special education needs
Qualifications:
Active Ohio Intervention Specialist License is required
Experience working with elementary-grade students, specifically K-1
Familiarity with Autism spectrum disorder and related instructional practices
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with paraprofessionals and school teams
