Experience with legacy modernization projects and/or school facilities business .
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position will support the client application development group in the modernization of CMW from Perl/MySQL to Java/React/MariaDB on an AWS platform.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Day-to-Day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1.Designing and Developing Software - Writing clean, efficient code to build new applications or features that meet user and business needs. Full stack development.
2.Testing and Quality Assurance – Conduct unit tests, integration tests, system tests and debugging to ensure reliability. Participate in code reviews and collaborate with QA teams to maintain high standards of quality.
3.Documentation - Writing clear documentation that explains how the code works, how APIs behave, and how systems are structured.
4.Deployment and Support - Package and deploy modules to testing or production environments. Monitor applications after release and provide support when issues arise, ensuring smooth operation for users.
WHAT’S NEEDED
Mandatory Skills:
- Java, React full stack development
- - MySQL, MariaDB
- - Application testing processes
- - API's and web services
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of Perl Programming Language
- - AWS Government Cloud deployment (Terraform)
- - Construction Management subject matter expertise
- - School facilities programs experience
- - Knowledge of the existing CMW application
