A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced MRI technologist to support a well-equipped imaging department in Elkview, WV. This contract position offers a structured schedule with rotating shifts and call responsibilities, ideal for professionals seeking variety and challenge in their clinical work.
The department features three advanced MRI scanners including GE and Siemens models, performing a range of exams such as routine MRI protocols as well as specialized prostate and breast imaging. The role requires scanning patients with pacemakers, implants, and stimulators, so comfort with these complex procedures is essential. Candidates will utilize EMR-EPIC and PACS-FUJI Synapse systems as part of daily workflow, ensuring seamless patient care documentation and image management.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform 15-20 MRI exams per day, maintaining high-quality imaging standards.
Safely scan patients with various implants and devices, following protocols.
Administer IVs as needed to facilitate contrast-enhanced studies.
Collaborate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and support staff.
Participate in rotating weekend and on-call shifts as scheduled.
Adhere to departmental dress code and complete required orientation.
Qualifications and Experience:
ARRT (MR) registration required; ARMRIT certification also accepted.
Minimum of one year of MRI technologist experience preferred.
Proficient in operating GE and Siemens MRI equipment.
Knowledge of EMR and PACS imaging software (EPIC, FUJI Synapse).
Strong patient care skills, including safety for patients with implants.
Shifts and Scheduling:
Five 8-hour shifts per week, rotating between 8:00 AM-4:30 PM and 10:30 AM-7:00 PM.
Rotating weekends and call shifts required.
No self-scheduling; shift times are assigned.
