Pharmacist - Westerville, OH

A growing closed-door Long Term Care pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join their control room team. This direct hire opportunity requires an Ohio pharmacist license and offers a consistent schedule from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM Monday through Friday, with every other weekend on shift. The role is based in Westerville, OH, and offers the chance to play a vital role within a site operation that is expanding.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage controlled drugs (narcotics) with strict adherence to legal regulations and security protocols.

Evaluate medication orders for correct drug selection, dosage, potential interactions, and appropriate administration.

Provide therapy recommendations to physicians and facility staff to optimize patient care.

Maintain comprehensive customer databases including medical history, clinical and laboratory data.

Investigate and resolve any medication-related queries promptly.

Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication issues.

Supervise the preparation of medications to ensure safety and accuracy.

Maintain controlled drug registers for stock control and legal compliance.

Perform on-call duties as required to provide continuous support.

Desired Qualifications:

Ohio Pharmacist license in-hand is mandatory.

Proven experience managing controlled medications within a pharmacy setting.

Familiarity with Frameworks system preferred.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with healthcare teams.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
