A growing manufacturing company in New Haven County is hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer to support supplier quality performance and ensure purchased materials, components, and outsourced services meet quality, technical, and regulatory requirements.

This role works closely with suppliers, engineering, purchasing, and production teams to drive quality improvements, resolve supplier defects, and strengthen manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Manage supplier quality performance and vendor relationships

Conduct supplier audits and supplier quality evaluations

Support incoming inspection and material quality control processes

Investigate supplier defects, non-conformances, and quality issues

Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA)

Monitor supplier metrics, quality performance, and improvement initiatives

Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement efforts

Maintain quality documentation and supplier compliance records

Requirements

Bachelorâ s degree in Engineering or related field

3+ years of Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing experience

Experience with supplier audits, vendor management, and supplier development

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement

Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and cross-functional communication skills
