Regulatory Reporting Manager

Overall Purpose of the Position

Responsible for meeting the very tight deadlines for the Statutory Reporting through the submission of reporting deadlines.

Together with the Manager Statutory Reporting, represents the Bank on the Technical Committee of the Malta Financial Services Authority.

Operational Responsibilities

Preparing various regulatory requirements accurately and within deadlines as directed by the Manager.

Preparing the weekly deposit statistics submitted to the Central Bank of Malta

Preparing the Balance of Payment Statistics

Checking the Deposit Guarantee scheme flag on a quarterly basis

Downloading the daily Additional Monitoring Matrix

Producing the daily loan to deposit ratio for the Bank’s senior management

Performing ad-hoc reporting and other tasks assigned to him/her from time to time.

Checking of control accounts against clients’ lists.

Testing of new IT systems and updates to reflect the changes in regulations and returns.

Keeping constantly updated on European Banking regulations, interpreting and applying them.

Liaising with IT staff regarding staff data requirements for statutory reporting.

General Responsibilities

To promote teamwork within the regulatory reporting team and maintain a good working relationship with other units.

To submit all regulatory reports to the authorities on timely manner.

To be abreast with regulatory changes coming into force from time to time.

To perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time including projects.Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

Mandatory

Skill

Analytical and attention to detail;

Be meticulous in approach;

Have an eye for detail;

Have a good knowledge of MS excel and word;

Be able to work under minimum supervision.

Experience

Experience in a Finance, Regulatory and statistical environment.

Qualification

Studying Banking and Economics or similar.

Ability to work under minimum supervision and meet the strict deadlines.
